Integration
Integration is the process of moving and standardizing data from one system to another. Create an Integration project to transform data from one system and send to another system. Match records from each system first to prevent duplicates. Common use cases include: ingesting data from Marketo, matching to Salesforce, standardizing all data, inserting new records to Salesforce and updating existing records.
Transform data by extracting substrings, assigning values to attributes, normalizing values, combining attributes, adding a prefix or suffix to an attribute, and parsing text.
Examples of transformation data include:
- Normalizing geo fields
- Combining first name and last name to create full name
- Assigning all Country values to "United States"
- Extracting information from the Description attribute
